About Us

In 2021, Chris and April moved from Princeton, Minnesota to Ironwood, Michigan, after visiting the area for years, and finally decided to make the UP their home. Chris left his union foreman position and with almost 20 years' experience in residential rehabilitation and commercial roofing and painting, started his own handyman business, Moos Handyman Services LLC. In 2022 they purchased their first rental home in Ironwood and in 2023, did something they had talked about doing for a few years - invested in a food truck! Moos Dough Co traveled around the UP and northern Wisconsin serving hot & fresh mini donuts made to order!

Chris and April were excited to contribute to Ironwood and as business owners, understood the importance of both short and long-term housing. In September 2024, Moos Investments LLC came to be and they purchased the Aurora St Apartment building in downtown Ironwood, as well as Cannonball Court in Bessemer, and now have a portfolio of 21 rental units. April manages the rentals and also owns and operates Stormy Kromer on Aurora, an exclusive retailer for the iconic Stormy Kromer brand, that resides in the street level space of the Aurora St Apartment building in downtown Ironwood.
