Our Pet Policy

Your cat or small dog is part of your family and will be considered if the following conditions are met, in addition to viewing approval, and pet owners exercise the common courtesy standards set forth.  Gold fish are also welcome, ask us about all t other pets.

Cat(s) - two maximum.  Declawed or clawed permissible.  Cats under 1 year must be neutered or spaded.

Dog - one small dog. Must be housebroken, no dogs under 1 year allowed.  No barking or howling disturbance inside or outside.  Not permitted to be staked or tied outside or left unattended for a duration of time.  Daily pet clean-up required.  Urination lawn burns not acceptable.  Town of Colonie requires dogs over four months to be licensed, renewed annually, and provide positive proof of rabies shot.  (Sorry, dogs not permitted at Shaker Commons under any condition)

Each pet (not including gold fish) harbored is subject to an additional $30 monthly fee and requires a $250 one-time non-refundable fee prior to move-in for the privilege of housing a pet and is applied towards additional wear, tear and cleaning at move-out.   Damages will be tenant responsibility at additional expense.
