I am a married to my best friend, and I have the pleasure of being the mother of 4 beautiful children. I am from South Carolina and relocated to Smithfield, Virginia in 1983 with my Mama and Sister.  After high school, I moved to Newport News where I resided until 2003.  At that time my husband and I purchased our first home in Hampton where we still reside.  My time in the area has afforded me the opportunity to gain extensive knowledge of the area.  

I began my real estate career in October of 2005, specializing in residential sales and relocation in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia.  I have over 25 years of serving the public in the Customer Service industry. I built my career with an emphasis on professionalism, dedication, honesty, and integrity.

Eric D. Drummond Sr. 

I am a proud husband, father of 4 and owner of Turn Key Real Estate LLC.  Laura, my wife, and I are the parents of 4 great kids.  Our daughter, our eldest child, is an officer in the Air Force.  Our eldest son Jalen, is a senior at Virginia Tech.  He is a statistics major.  Our middle child, Eric Jr. just turn 21 and is autistic.  He’s an amazing example of autism because he is so loving and caring.  Our youngest, Gregory, just graduated high school.  He is either going to pursue a career in the military or become a mechanic.  We are so proud of our kids! 

Turn Key is a dream come true for us.  It is the culmination of a lifelong pursuit to own a business.  Although we just started Turn Key, the roots for it were planted many years ago.  I have been working in the finance field for many years.  My experience starts back in college when Accounting/Finance was my original degree.  I studied many courses in the Accounting field and was on course to graduate with an Accounting degree. 

At that time, I took a job as a warehouse supervisor for an HVAC company.  That’s where I met my beautiful wife and soulmate Laura.  Shortly after I started there, Laura left to become a real estate agent and I switched my degree to project management.  I immediately received a job as a project manager.  I managed small and large HVAC jobs ranging from $5,000 to $500,000.  I worked as a project manager for 5 years there and received an Associate’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. 

Shortly after receiving my Associates degree, Laura and I started an online pool supply company called EZ Pool Party.  We bought and sold pool toys, supplies and chemicals online.  It was a small success but it just was not enough.  Thirsty for better business opportunities, we closed the doors in pursuit of more rewarding opportunities.  At this time, I felt it was time for a change and career advancement.  I then went to work for the shipyard as a planner.  As a planner, I managed, scheduled and ordered materials for shipyard renovations.  The position quickly grew and my duties quickly expanded.  I started to work on the finance side.  Like my previous job, I was tracking and managing project budgets.  I was also responsible for shipyard vendors and approving payments.  Meanwhile, I went back to school and earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Project Management. 

Meanwhile, Laura went to school to a Broker’s license.  Her first position as a broker was with another Real Estate firm.  While it was not the experience she was sold on, she learned a lot and made many friendships and business contacts from her time there.  The combination of her unfortunate experience there and my growth in finance led us to start our dream, Turn Key Real Estate LLC.
