A dining area within the kitchen has a large built-in cabinet: open-shelving to exhibit art, sculpture, dishes, glassware; cupboard and drawer spaces to store appliances, serving dishes and flatware. Dining area opens via a sliding glass door to a porch. Next to that is a redwood deck for entertaining.
